From the early morning, the vihara was filled with activity as essential items continued to arrive. Volunteers streamed in throughout the day, offering their time, strength, and compassion to support the relief effort.
Packing and loading began at 9.00am, progressing steadily with everyoneโs commitment. Many well-wishers continued sending in donations in kind throughout the day. In the evening, the community from Wat Chetawan Temple delivered their collected goods, adding yet another meaningful contribution to the mission.
At around 9.30pm, we were honoured by the visit of the Acting High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Malaysia, Mr Mohamad Rizvi Ismail, who witnessed the official handover of the container. This 40ft container, now safely sealed at around 11.30pm, will soon be shipped to Sri Lanka to support families affected by the severe floods.
