2024年10月27日,逾250法友,包括9位僧眾,齊聚宏慈寺,參加銅製經文的安奉儀式。銅製經文被安放在大佛蓮座下的九個孔位中的第一孔中。
義工們一早就抵達現場,佈置場地並迎接信眾,佛教信徒於上午8點陸續抵達。新寺院充滿了寧靜祥和的氛圍,讓在場的每一位都觸動心靈。
佛教信徒們供養銅製經文,並將經文奉置在法壇上。義工們耐心地協助法友們,同時會場也有一系列的緬甸A級翡翠供義賣,護持宏慈寺的建設基金,並推出宏慈寺帆布袋和限量版棉質T恤作為義賣品。
尊者斯里·沙拉南加拉長老帶領大眾三皈五戒儀式及誦經祈福,在大殿中,信徒們虔誠祈願,期盼寺院早日完成建設,以造福社會。
尊者斯里沙拉南加拉長老和僧眾將銅製經文安奉於蓮座下,並解釋了在新寺院進行此安奉儀式的意義。
儀式最後,大家為尊者斯里沙拉南加拉長老獻上健康快樂的祝福,祝福尊者的71歲世壽。長老隨後向大家分發了壽桃、壽麵和橘子,寓意祝福每一位佛弟子健康法喜。
宏慈寺的建設自2022年2月啟動,歷經兩年八個月的努力,目前第一期的主體工程已接近完工。接下來的內部裝修後預計明年立夏之際,宏慈寺將正式展開弘法利生的使命。

【𝗠𝗮𝗵𝗮 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗮 𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗱𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗮】 𝟮𝟳 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 |𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗮 𝗘𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗵𝗮 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗮 𝗩𝗶𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮, 𝗘𝗹𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮, 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗵 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗺
On October 27, 2024, around 250 participants, including nine members of the Sangha, gathered at Maha Karuna Vihara for the enshrinement ceremony of an inscribed copper sutta. The sutta was placed in the first of nine prepared spaces beneath the main Buddha’s lotus seat.
Volunteers arrived early in the morning to set up the venue and welcome members, while Buddhist devotees gradually gathered from 8 a.m. The atmosphere at the new temple was serene and filled with a wholesome, peaceful energy that touched all who attended.
Devotees made their offerings by contributing inscribed copper suttas and placing them on the altar. Dedicated volunteers patiently assisted devotees, while a selection of Grade A Myanmar jade pieces was available for charity sale to support the Maha Karuna Vihara fund. Maha Karuna canvas bags and limited-edition cotton T-shirts were also on sale as part of the fundraising effort.
Chief Reverend B. Sri Saranankara led the Tisarana, Pancasila, and blessing chants in the main shrine hall, joined by devotees who expressed their heartfelt hopes and prayers for the temple’s completion and the community’s benefit.
Chief Reverend Saranankara and the Sangha members conducted the enshrinement of the copper sutta beneath the lotus seat, after which the Venerable explained the significance of this enshrinement for the new vihara.
The ceremony concluded with well-wishes for Venerable Saranankara’s good health and happiness in celebration of his 71st birthday the next day. Longevity buns, noodles, and mandarin oranges were distributed to all attendees as blessings.
The construction of Maha Karuna Vihara, which began in February 2022, has progressed significantly over the past two years and eight months. The primary structure of the first phase is now nearing completion, and by early summer next year, the temple will be ready to embark on its mission to spread the Dharma and benefit all beings.
