𝟕𝟏 𝒀𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒔 𝑴𝒊𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑳𝒊𝒇𝒆 𝑪𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 七十一世寿庆典
In commemoration of the 71st Birthday of Chief Reverend B Sri Saranankara Maha Thera (59 Years Monk-hood) on 28 October 2024, number of charities were being performed by a group of Buddhist friends, in the name of Most Venerable Bootawatte Sri Saranankara Nayaka Maha Thera. The charities activities were being organised from 24 October to 28 October 2024.
Dana is the first of the ten perfections of an arahant on the path to nibbana. When the Buddha teaches, he begins his sermon with the virtues of giving (danakatha). (Vin.i,15,18) Of the three wholesome bases for the performance of meritorious deeds (punnakiriyavatthu), giving is the first, the other two being virtue and mental cultivation. (A.iv,241)

2024 年10月28日，欣逢尊者斯里沙拉南加拉大长老71世寿（僧腊59年），一群善友以尊者的名义进行一系列的慈善活动。这一系列的慈善活动于2024年10月24日起进行至2024年10月28日。
布施是涅槃道上阿罗汉十波罗蜜中的第一个。当佛陀说法时，尊者以布施（danakatha）的美德开始他的弘法。 (Vin.i,15,18) 在成就功德的三善基础（punnakiriyavathu）中，布施是第一，另外两个是戒德和修心。 （A.iv，241）
