In the waning moments of 2023, the secretary of the Maha Karuna Buddhist Society, Yee Shin, embarked on a sacred journey to Bodh Gaya, India, representing the multitude of disciples. There, at the hallowed Bodhi Tree,presented offerings to the statue of the Buddha at the Mahabodhi main shrine. Venerable Manoj, the senior sangha of the Mahabodhi Buddhis Templ, graciously offered the robe and requisite for the Buddha, in a profound ritual, leading a heartfelt prayer.
As we reflect upon the benevolent deeds of the past year 2023, in a spirit of compassion, extended the merits of our collective actions to the worldโa wish for universal peace and the prosperity of nations. May all sentient beings find solace and joy, diligently treading the path to enlightenment with unwavering commitment to the Noble Eightfold Path and the boundless virtues of loving-kindness, compassion, empathetic joy, and equanimity.
