【马来西亚宏慈佛教会】2022年5月2日| 药食救援斯里兰卡民众

斯里兰卡面临经济崩溃和政治动荡的局势,导致能源,石油,粮食及医疗物品严重短缺,尤其面临救命药物几近耗尽,人民生命遭受威胁。不断有民众,寺院,医院等部门自四月初纷纷联系马来西亚上座部司法高僧,尊者斯里沙拉南加拉长老以求可获得关注及救济。马来西亚宏慈佛教会也在尊者的指引下先后于四月份里供养了逾两千名僧众粮食药物等,另外逾500户贫困家庭也已获得粮食及药物救济。当中大马法炬人间总山僧团发挥慈悲喜舍精神关注并护持逾两千名僧众为期2-4星期之道粮。

除此之外许多佛友及团体也充份体现了慈悲爱护他人的精神纷纷向尊者斯里沙拉南加拉献意护助斯里兰卡人民。佛教会物正物资医疗药物并将在近期由斯里兰卡航空免费运输到斯里兰卡。当中相关部分也协助疏通跨国运输文件登记税务之手续。

经众善信人士要求,宏慈佛教会今开放此平台与大众携手于能力所及范围内提供药食救济斯里兰卡人民。

【Maha Karuna Buddhist Society Malaysia】 02 May 2022 | Medicine Relief to the Peoples in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is facing a situation of economic depression and political instability, resulting in severe shortages of energy, oil, food and medical supplies, especially when life-saving medicines are almost exhausted, and people’s lives are threatened. Since the beginning of April, people, monasteries, hospitals and other departments have been contacting the Supreme Judicial Monk of Theravada Malaysia, the Chief Hight Priest (Judiciary) Venerable B Sri Saranankara Nayaka Maha Thera, for attention and seek relief support. The Maha Karuna Buddhist Society Malaysia has also provided food and medicine to more than 2,000 monks in April under the guidance of Chief Reverend, and more than 500 poor families have also received food and medicine relief. Among them, the Dharma Light Monastery Malaysia’s Sangha Members paid attention to and supported more than 2,000 monks for 2-4 weeks with the spirit of compassion and sympathy.

In addition, many Buddhist friends and groups have fully demonstrated the spirit of compassion and caring for others, and offered their support to the Sri Lankan people to Chief Reverend Saranankara. The Society pursuing medical supplies and medicines and will be transported to Sri Lanka for free by Sri Lankan Airlines in the near future. The relevant part of it also assists in smoothing out the procedures for the registration and taxation of cross-border transport documents.

At the request of all well-wishers, Maha Karuna Buddhist Society Malaysia is now opening this platform to join hands with the public to provide medicine and food relief to the Sri Lankan people within its ability.
