This week, Maha Karuna Buddhist Society joined hands with Yayasan Maha Karuna had distributed food provisions for 300 families within Wilayah Persekutuan and Selangor. The beneficiaries include 100 migrant families who visits St Joseph Catholic Church Sentul, 28 migrant families in Ampang, 15 Myanmar families in Subang 2, 28 families in Shah Alam, 20 families in Segambut and others.
This batch of provision includes contribution in kind from Datuk Christine and friends, Mr KK Hong, Mr & Mrs Lau SL & CSP Social Project as well as RR Movers for the logistic support.
Since its establishment in 2001, the Maha Karuna Buddhist Society Kuala Lumpur & Selangor has been providing assistance in education, medical care, and food to people in need for 20 years both local and abroad. The Maha Karuna Buddhist Society has distributed food to more than 30,000 entities (individuals or families) both locally and abroad since the pandemic occurs last year. At the same time, medical equipment and educational assistance are given.
Due to the impact of the epidemic, the number of people involved in rescue projects is increasing! Maha Karuna Buddhist Society and Yayasan Maha Karuna have launched the ใPandemic Respond Effort – COVID 19 Pandemic Fund ใprogram in June 2021 to actively gather public forces to assist the countryโs medical equipment and frontline personnel in the fight against the epidemic, especially to provide assistance due to the impact of the pandemic, the needy and the poor in families, etc., through the distribution of daily necessities of dry food to those in need, to help them tide over the difficulties and also help the countryโs social welfare stability.
At the moment of the epidemic, the lives of many peoples, especially those at the grassroots level, are in dire straits and difficult conditions. When the people worry about the trivial things and conditions of life, we hope they can try to live in the present and 
cherish life. The laws of the universe are not eternal, and the destiny is changing every moment. Everyone must continue to try to remain their mind unshaken, and look forward to the better future. It will be sunny after rain!
