Malaysia Maha Karuna Buddhist Society was established since year 2001, founded by Chief Rev B. Sri Saranankara Maha Thera. With the thought of helping the needy at the beginning where its first charity activity was giving school bags to some needy children. After few years, until well wishers share their premises as a shelter for the society, MKBS has a proper place to conduct activities not only spiritual aspect but for one’s self development and welfare activities. In Year 2011, MKBS started to have Sunday Dhamma School and a group of voluntary teachers until present.
马来西亚宏慈佛教会成立于2001年，由尊者斯里沙拉南加拉长老创立。最初的概念只是想帮助更多有需要的人，而第一个慈善活动是向一些有需要的孩子们赠送书包。数年后，直到好心人提供了一个空间，宏慈佛教会才有了一个适当的场所来进行活动，不仅是精神宗教方面的活动，而更多的是给予个人的自我发展和福利活动的场所。于2011年，宏慈佛教会开始了周日佛学班，接着也有了今天的义工教师团。
