In conjunction with the 101st birthday celebration of Chief Reverend G. Jinarathana Maha Thera\u2014who has dedicated 85 years to the monastic life\u2014the Maha Karuna Buddhist Society, under the guidance of Chief Reverend Bootawatte Sri Saranankara Nayaka Maha Thera, was honored to initiate and sponsor a meaningful charitable initiative.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

As part of this auspicious occasion, 150 sets of school bags and stationery were distributed to children in the village, ensuring they have the necessary tools for their education. This act of giving reflects the spirit of D\u0101na (generosity) and embodies the values of compassion and kindness that Chief Reverend Jinarathana Maha Thera has upheld throughout his life.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The warm celebration was held at Sudharmarama Royal Temple, Udabowala, Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, and included a Blessing Service, Gilanpasa Puja Offering, Food Dana, Dry Food Dana and EDUCare.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
