On Saturday, 29 June, Ts Steven Wong, Executive Committee Member of the Maha Karuna Buddhist Society, joined our respected kalyana mitt\u0101 at the Kinrara Metta Buddhist Society (KMBS) to celebrate their significant 20th Anniversary with the theme \u201cMetta Begins with Me.\u201d For the past twenty years, KMBS has been a pillar of compassion, care, and unity, providing a supportive haven for those seeking solace in the Dhamma.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Board of Management and members of the Maha Karuna Buddhist Society Malaysia wholeheartedly congratulate the KMBS on this extraordinary milestone. We were heartened that KMBS chose to commemorate its 20th year by supporting other organizations to alleviate some of their financial burdens. The Maha Karuna Buddhist Society is grateful to be one of the beneficiaries, receiving RM15,000 from KMBS. This fund will be utilized as the Maha Karuna Vihara establishment fund.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Most Ven. B. Sri Saranankara Nayaka Maha Thera named four Buddhist societies over two decades ago, drawing inspiration from the Four Brahma Vihara. Each society embodies a significant aspect of these sublime qualities and has a dedicated mission: Maha Karuna Buddhist Society: Embodying \ud835\udc0a\ud835\udc1a\ud835\udc2b\ud835\udc2e\ud835\udc27\ud835\udc1a (Compassion), this society focuses on compassionate outreach and humanitarian efforts to alleviate suffering in the community. Kinrara \ud835\udc0c\ud835\udc1e\ud835\udc2d\ud835\udc2d\ud835\udc1a Buddhist Society: Representing Metta (Loving-kindness), KMBS is dedicated to spreading kindness and fostering a nurturing environment for all who seek refuge in the Dhamma.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
