Today symbolises transition of the Sun from the House of Pisces to the House of Aries marks the beginning of the New Year (Aluth Avurudu). The Sri Lankan New Year is a time to express gratitude for the bounty of the old year and celebrate the dawning of a new year.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
