On 05 April 2024, a total of 18 cows were liberated in Sri Lanka under the Cow Liberation program organised by Maha Karuna Buddhist Society. Since February 2024 up to date, totalling \ud835\udfcf\ud835\udfce\ud835\udfd6 cows were being liberated.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In Buddhism, giving fearlessness for other living beings is called as “Abhaya Dana” and it is one of the greatest Meritorious Deeds.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

By liberating the cows, we support the beings to live a peaceful and happy life. Second, in long term we support the livelihoods of the needy families (beneficiaries)<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Upon handing over the cows to beneficiaries, the Master preaches the meaning of such liberation activities and the obligation of the adopted families. At the same time, blessings shared upon the cows, farmer families and the givers.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

May all beings be well and happy.<\/div>\n
