Gurpa hill (also known as Kukkutap\u0101da[1] or Gurup\u0101daka) is a Buddhist pilgrimage site located in the Indian state of Bihar, sixteen miles northeast of Bodh Gaya. There are 1680 steps from the bottom of hill to the peak of Gurpa hill. The mountain is said to be the site where the Buddha’s disciple, Mah\u0101k\u0101\u015byapa, is said to have died while waiting for the future Buddha, Maitreya to arrive on earth.<\/div>\n
