On November 5, 2023, MKBS hosted its 22nd Anniversary Appreciation Luncheon at the Pavilion Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.<\/div>\n

This event is graced by the presence of members of the Maha Sangha. The gathering also warmly welcomed approximately 280 Buddhist members, including both newcomers and long-standing well-wishers who had diligently and actively involved each activity organised by Maha Karuna Buddhist Society, particularly showing concern and unwaveringly support for the development of Maha Karuna Vihara over the past one year.<\/div>\n

During the event, Chief Reverend B Sri Saranankara Nayaka Maha Thera, the Founder and Spiritual Advisor of MKBS, shared, “Each one of us gathered here is blessed with 22 remarkable years. For 22 years, Maha Karuna Buddhist Society did not have a physical shelter. With the Malay word we named it “tumpang”, we relied on the goodwill of others, moving from place to place to conduct our activities, always mindful of the absence of a permanent shelter.”<\/div>\n

The auction ceremony was skilfully hosted by Mr. Frank Low, with the proceeds contributing to the establishment fund of Maha Karuna Vihara, which has been under construction since February 2023.<\/div>\n
