This special series of calendar features scenes according to period sequence from the past events of Maha Karuna Buddhist Society & Yayasan Maha Karuna, coupled with some notable quotes from its founder\u2019s Rev Bootawatte Sri Saranankara Maha Thera\u2019s teaching over the years as well as other great masters.<\/p>\n

This Year also marks 22 years of togetherness where we cultivate spiritual and welfare activities that have contributed to the needs of the society and also an inspiration to others. The Buddha taught us to cultivate two great virtues, namely wisdom and compassion. Wisdom is the ability to see things as they are and is cultivated through spiritual practice. Great compassion (Maha Karuna) is cultivated by serving the priority group through welfare activities.<\/p>\n
