Sponsoring a group of 10 students of Tamil and Muslim origin who have registered under the National Youth Services Council’s Swiss Training Centre in Dambulla, commenced their 6 month long “Agriculture Field Assistant” NVQ 4 program at Umandawa Global Buddhist Village.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

During this 6 month long program the participants will be learning the following:<\/p>\n

* Leadership skills<\/p>\n

* Landscaping<\/p>\n

* Compost fertilizer production<\/p>\n

* Organic liquid fertilizer and natural pesticide production<\/p>\n

* Cattle management<\/p>\n

* Bio gas production<\/p>\n

* Root balling<\/p>\n

* Specialty food processing including jams and chutney production<\/p>\n

May the students well equipped through the learning and do well in the future.<\/p>\n
