Mr & Mrs Ho and family had recently donated a PCR machine to Peradeniya Hospital, Sri Lanka.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

On 03 March 2021, our representative, Venerable Badullegama Siriwimala Thero, President of Sri Saranankara Foundation handovered Truelab Real Time Quantitative Micro PCR System Comprising of Trulab Quattro device, Trueprep Auto V2 device, and accessories to Peradeniya Hospital, Kandy, in Sri Lanka.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Teaching Hospital, Peradeniya, is one of the three hospitals in Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. It is one of the leading community teaching hospitals in Sri Lanka, affiliated with the University of Peradeniya. In addition to delivering medical care to patients, it facilitates undergraduate training programmes for the university students studying in the faculties of Medicine, Dental Sciences and Allied Health Sciences. It was established in 1980.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Thermal Cycler (also known as a Thermocycler, PCR Machine or DNA Amplifier) is a laboratory apparatus used to amplify segments of DNA via the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR).<\/div>\n
PCR helps focus on the actual segment of DNA that is of interest, rather than the whole genome. From a small genetic sample, the genotypes can now be determined, and as a result, many genetic disorders can be detected, diagnosed and monitored.<\/div>\n
PCR is one of the most widely used diagnostic tests<\/div>\n
for detecting pathogens, including viruses, that cause diseases such as Ebola, African swine fever and foot-and-mouth disease. Since the COVID-19 virus only contains RNA, real time or conventional RT\u2013PCR is used to detect it.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

PCR\u5e2e\u52a9\u5c06\u6ce8\u610f\u529b\u96c6\u4e2d\u5728\u611f\u5174\u8da3\u7684DNA\u7684\u5b9e\u9645\u7247\u6bb5\u4e0a\uff0c\u800c\u4e0d\u662f\u6574\u4e2a\u57fa\u56e0\u7ec4\u4e0a\u3002\u73b0\u5728\u53ef\u4ee5\u4ece\u5c11\u91cf\u7684\u9057\u4f20\u6837\u672c\u4e2d\u786e\u5b9a\u57fa\u56e0\u578b\uff0c\u4ece\u800c\u53ef\u4ee5\u68c0\u6d4b\uff0c\u8bca\u65ad\u548c\u76d1\u6d4b\u8bb8\u591a\u9057\u4f20\u6027\u75be\u75c5\u3002<\/div>\n
PCR\u662f\u5e94\u7528\u6700\u5e7f\u6cdb\u7684\u8bca\u65ad\u6d4b\u8bd5\u4e4b\u4e00\uff0c \u7528\u4e8e\u68c0\u6d4b\u5f15\u8d77\u8bf8\u5982\u57c3\u535a\u62c9\u75c5\u6bd2\uff0c\u975e\u6d32\u732a\u761f\u548c\u53e3\u8e44\u75ab\u7b49\u75be\u75c5\u7684\u75c5\u539f\u4f53\uff0c\u5305\u62ec\u75c5\u6bd2\u3002\u7531\u4e8eCOVID-19\u75c5\u6bd2\u4ec5\u5305\u542bRNA\uff0c\u56e0\u6b64\u53ef\u4ee5\u4f7f\u7528\u5b9e\u65f6\u6216\u5e38\u89c4RT-PCR\u8fdb\u884c\u68c0\u6d4b\u3002<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
