Chief Reverend Saranankara attended the 2026 Buddha Day celebration held at the Sibu Foo Chow Association, with the event jointly organised by five Buddhist associations :- Sibu Shakyamurni Buddhist Association, Sibu Buddhist Association, Sibu Sakya Samdrub Ling Centre, Namo Buddha Buddhist Society and Sibu Buddhist\u2019s Learning Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The gathering reflected a strong spirit of cooperation among different Buddhist traditions, coming together under one shared message of peace, wisdom, and harmony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his message, Chief Reverend B Sri Saranankara emphasized a central principle of Buddhism: the true value of human life is not determined by external conditions such as wealth, appearance, clothing, or living environment. These are material and temporary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead, he reminded everyone that the most important investment is the mind itself. Human beings carry mental energy throughout life, and this inner condition shapes one\u2019s journey in samsara. Therefore, developing and purifying the mind is the greatest form of progress a person can make.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further explained that while physical strength changes with age\u2014from childhood, to adulthood, and eventually old age\u2014the body is impermanent and will naturally decline. However, the mind, when trained through Dhamma practice, can remain clear, strong, and stable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He highlighted that across traditions there is a shared understanding: cultivating purity of mind is essential. This inner cultivation supports one\u2019s spiritual journey and brings lasting benefit beyond the physical world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the Wesak full moon season is a time of reflection, the message carried a clear reminder: aging is a natural process for the body, but mental development and purification should remain a lifelong priority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Venerable also expressed his happiness in seeing different Buddhist societies working together in unity. He appreciated the harmony among the associations and encouraged everyone to continue preserving peace, respect, and cooperation within the Buddhist community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In closing, he offered blessings for everyone present, wishing that the Buddha\u2019s teachings continue to guide all beings, and that such peaceful and harmonious gatherings may continue for many years to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u4eca\u65e5\u4e8e\u8bd7\u5deb\u798f\u5dde\u516c\u4f1a\u4e3e\u884c\u76842026\u5e74\u536b\u585e\u8282\u5e86\u5178\u4e2d\uff0c\u5c0a\u656c\u7684\u4e0a\u5ea7\u90e8\u957f\u8001\u6c99\u62c9\u5357\u52a0\u62c9\u6bd4\u4e18\u8385\u4e34\u5e76\u7ed9\u4e88\u5f00\u793a\u3002\u672c\u6b21\u6d3b\u52a8\u7531\u8bd7\u5deb\u4e94\u4e2a\u4f5b\u6559\u56e2\u4f53\u8054\u5408\u4e3b\u529e\uff0c\u5305\u62ec\uff1a\u8bd7\u5deb\u91ca\u8fe6\u725f\u5c3c\u4f5b\u6559\u4f1a\u3001\u8bd7\u5deb\u4f5b\u6559\u4f1a\u3001\u8bd7\u5deb\u8428\u8fe6\u6ee1\u613f\u7cbe\u820d\u3001\u5357\u65e0\u5e03\u8fbe\u4f5b\u6559\u4f1a\uff0c\u4ee5\u53ca\u8bd7\u5deb\u4f5b\u6559\u6cf0\u7cbe\u4fee\u4e2d\u5fc3\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u6b64\u6b21\u76db\u4f1a\u5c55\u73b0\u4e86\u4f5b\u6559\u4e0d\u540c\u4f20\u627f\u4e4b\u95f4\u878d\u6d3d\u7684\u5408\u4f5c\u7cbe\u795e\uff0c\u5728\u5171\u540c\u7684\u8282\u65e5\u4e2d\u51dd\u805a\u529b\u91cf\uff0c\u4ee5\u548c\u5e73\u3001\u667a\u6167\u4e0e\u548c\u8c10\u4e3a\u6838\u5fc3\u8baf\u606f\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u5728\u5f00\u793a\u4e2d\uff0c\u6c99\u62c9\u5357\u52a0\u62c9\u4e0a\u5ea7\u957f\u8001\u5f3a\u8c03\u4f5b\u6cd5\u7684\u6838\u5fc3\u89c2\u70b9\u4e4b\u4e00\uff1a\u4eba\u751f\u7684\u771f\u6b63\u4ef7\u503c\uff0c\u5e76\u4e0d\u53d6\u51b3\u4e8e\u5916\u5728\u6761\u4ef6\uff0c\u5982\u8d22\u5bcc\u3001\u5916\u8c8c\u3001\u8863\u7740\u6216\u5c45\u4f4f\u73af\u5883\u3002\u8fd9\u4e9b\u7686\u4e3a\u7269\u8d28\u5c42\u9762\uff0c\u5c5e\u4e8e\u6682\u65f6\u4e0e\u65e0\u5e38\u4e4b\u6cd5\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u76f8\u53cd\uff0c\u6700\u91cd\u8981\u7684\uff0c\u662f\u5bf9\u201c\u5fc3\u201d\u7684\u4fee\u4e60\u3002\u4eba\u7684\u4e00\u751f\u90fd\u5e26\u7740\u5fc3\u8bc6\u7684\u529b\u91cf\u524d\u884c\uff0c\u800c\u5185\u5fc3\u7684\u72b6\u6001\uff0c\u5c06\u51b3\u5b9a\u751f\u547d\u5728\u8f6e\u56de\u4e2d\u7684\u8d70\u5411\u3002\u56e0\u6b64\uff0c\u51c0\u5316\u4e0e\u63d0\u5347\u5185\u5fc3\uff0c\u662f\u4eba\u751f\u6700\u91cd\u8981\u7684\u4fee\u884c\u4e0e\u6210\u5c31\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u5c0a\u8005\u8fdb\u4e00\u6b65\u6307\u51fa\uff0c\u8eab\u4f53\u7684\u529b\u91cf\u4f1a\u968f\u7740\u5e74\u9f84\u800c\u53d8\u5316\u2014\u2014\u4ece\u7ae5\u5e74\u3001\u6210\u5e74\u5230\u8001\u5e74\uff0c\u7686\u4e0d\u53ef\u907f\u514d\u5730\u8d70\u5411\u8870\u9000\u3002\u7136\u800c\uff0c\u82e5\u80fd\u4f9d\u4f5b\u6cd5\u4fee\u884c\uff0c\u5fc3\u53ef\u4ee5\u4fdd\u6301\u6e05\u660e\u3001\u575a\u5f3a\u4e0e\u7a33\u5b9a\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u4ed6\u4e5f\u5f3a\u8c03\uff0c\u5404\u5b97\u6d3e\u867d\u6709\u4e0d\u540c\u4f20\u7edf\uff0c\u4f46\u5bf9\u201c\u5fc3\u7684\u6e05\u51c0\u4fee\u6301\u201d\u8fd9\u4e00\u70b9\u5177\u6709\u5171\u540c\u7406\u89e3\u3002\u8fd9\u79cd\u5185\u5728\u4fee\u884c\uff0c\u4e0d\u4ec5\u5229\u76ca\u4eca\u751f\uff0c\u4e5f\u4e3a\u89e3\u8131\u4e4b\u9053\u5960\u5b9a\u57fa\u7840\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u5728\u536b\u585e\u8282\u8fd9\u4e00\u6ee1\u6708\u7eaa\u5ff5\u65e5\u7684\u65f6\u8282\uff0c\u8fd9\u6bb5\u5f00\u793a\u63d0\u9192\u5927\u4f17\uff1a\u8eab\u4f53\u7684\u8001\u5316\u662f\u81ea\u7136\u89c4\u5f8b\uff0c\u4f46\u5fc3\u7684\u6210\u957f\u4e0e\u51c0\u5316\uff0c\u5e94\u5f53\u6210\u4e3a\u4e00\u751f\u6301\u7eed\u7684\u76ee\u6807\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u957f\u8001\u4ea6\u5bf9\u5404\u4f5b\u6559\u56e2\u4f53\u7684\u548c\u5408\u8868\u793a\u6b23\u6170\uff0c\u8d5e\u53f9\u5927\u5bb6\u5728\u540c\u4e00\u613f\u666f\u4e0b\u5408\u4f5c\u5171\u4fee\uff0c\u5e76\u9f13\u52b1\u7ee7\u7eed\u7ef4\u62a4\u4f5b\u6559\u56e2\u4f53\u4e4b\u95f4\u7684\u548c\u5e73\u3001\u5c0a\u91cd\u4e0e\u56e2\u7ed3\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u6700\u540e\uff0c\u957f\u8001\u4e3a\u5927\u4f17\u9001\u4e0a\u795d\u798f\uff0c\u613f\u4f5b\u9640\u7684\u6559\u6cd5\u957f\u4e45\u4f4f\u4e16\uff0c\u5229\u76ca\u4e00\u5207\u4f17\u751f\uff0c\u4e5f\u613f\u6b64\u7c7b\u548c\u5e73\u4e0e\u548c\u8c10\u7684\u6cd5\u4f1a\u5e74\u5e74\u5ef6\u7eed\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n
