05 September 2026 | Prayer for Nepal and All Affected by the Disaster
Though we are separated by thousands of miles, compassion knows no borders; though we cannot be there in person, sincere prayers know no distance.
At 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, 5 September 2026, the monastic and lay community gathered at Maha Karuna Vihara to offer heartfelt chanting, prayers and blessings for Nepal and all regions affected by the disaster.

Life is Impermanent
Natural disasters remind us of the impermanent and unpredictable nature of life. We cannot control what happens or know what the next moment may bring.
The Buddha taught us not to escape impermanence, but to understand and accept it, while cultivating mindfulness, compassion, wisdom and equanimity.
True equanimity does not mean the absence of sadness or indifference to suffering. It means remaining calm, compassionate and strong when faced with circumstances beyond our control.
When people lose their homes, loved ones, health and sense of security, we may not be able to remove their suffering, but we can offer compassion, strength and hope through our prayers.
May every recitation of every blessing and compassionate thought become a light of hope, crossing mountains and borders to bless all who are suffering.
May the disaster cease swiftly and suffering be relieved.
May those who have departed attain a fortunate rebirth.
May survivors be safe and find strength to rebuild their lives.
May the injured recover soon.
May bereaved families receive comfort and support.
May all rescuers remain safe and be blessed with strength, wisdom and compassion.
Dedication of Merits
May the merits accumulated through our chanting, prayers and wholesome deeds be dedicated to all who lost their lives in this disaster.
May they be free from suffering, find peace and attain a fortunate rebirth.
We also dedicate these merits to the families who have lost their loved ones. May they receive comfort, strength and peace during their journey of grief.
May our compassion and blessings reach Nepal, Tibet in China, India and all affected regions.
May disasters cease.
May suffering be alleviated.
May all who are suffering find strength and hope.
May all sentient beings be free from suffering, live in peace, and be safe and well.
Compassion knows no borders.
Love knows no distance.
May all beings be blessed with peace, protection and well-being.
【马来西亚宏慈佛教会】2026年9月5日 | 为尼泊尔及所有受灾地区祈祷
虽相隔千里，慈悲没有国界；
虽无法亲临，至诚的祈愿也不受距离所限。
2026年9月5日，星期六下午3时，僧俗两众齐聚宏慈寺，以虔诚的诵经、祈祷与祝福，为尼泊尔及所有受灾地区献上关怀、慈悲与祝福。

人生无常
天灾让我们再次看见生命的无常与不可预测。
我们无法控制无常，也无法预知下一刻会发生什么。因此，佛陀教导我们不是逃避无常，而是理解、接受并如实观照无常，以正念、慈悲、智慧与平等心面对生命中的变化、喜乐与苦难。
真正的平常心在面对不如意之情，并不是没有悲伤，也不是对苦难冷漠，而是在无法掌控的境遇中，依然保持清明、慈悲与内在的力量。
当我们看见灾民失去家园、亲人、健康与安稳的生活，虽然无法替他们承担苦难，却能够以慈悲给予力量，以祈祷守护希望。
愿每一声佛号、每一念慈悲，化作光明与力量，跨越山河与国界，将祝福送达所有正在受苦的众生。
愿灾难早日止息，苦难渐渐减轻。
愿逝者蒙受善缘与福德，往生善趣。
愿幸存者平安，并拥有重建生活的力量。
愿伤者早日康复，身心安稳。
愿失去至亲的家庭得到安慰与支持。
愿所有救援人员平安，具足力量、智慧与慈悲。
回向功德
愿诵经、祈祷及一切善行所累积的功德，回向此次灾难中不幸离世的一切众生。
愿他们离苦得乐、身心安宁，往生善趣。
同时，将功德回向所有因灾难失去至亲的家庭。愿这份功德与祝福，化作他们心中的安慰与力量，陪伴他们走过悲伤。
愿慈悲跨越山河与国界，将我们的善念与祝福，回向尼泊尔、中国西藏、印度及一切受灾地区。
愿灾难止息，
愿苦难减轻，
愿受苦受难者获得力量与希望，
愿一切有情众生离苦得乐，身心安稳，平安自在。
慈悲没有国界，
爱没有距离。
愿一切众生皆得平安、护佑与幸福。
