On the first day of Chinese New Year, around noon at Maha Karuna Vihara, the community gathered in joy and harmony to celebrate this auspicious occasion.
The community was entertained by a vibrant and traditional lion dance performance, symbolising good luck, prosperity, and the driving away of negative energies. The festive atmosphere was filled with happiness and cultural appreciation.
Devotees and visitors also received blessings from the Sangha members, invoking peace, protection, and wisdom for the year ahead.
Vegetarian meals were served throughout the day, bringing everyone together in fellowship and gratitude.
