On 29 March 2026, a total of 152 cows were liberated in Sri Lanka. In Buddhism, giving fearlessness for other living beings is called as “Abhaya Dana” and it is one of the greatest Meritorious Deeds. By liberating the cows, we support the beings to live a peaceful and happy life. Second, in long term we support the livelihoods of the poor families (beneficiaries) Upon handing over the cows to beneficiaries, the Master preaches the meaning of such liberation activities and the obligation of the adopted families. At the same time, blessings shared upon the cows, farmer families and the givers. May all beings be well and happy.
