Opening Ceremony Venue for D2Y – The Temple Run | 13 Dec 2025

𝟏𝟑 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 | 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝟐𝐘 – 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐑𝐮𝐧

Early this morning, around 6am, we were grateful to receive students for D2Y (Dhammaduta Youth) – The Temple Run, with our temple serving as the opening ceremony venue.

Thankful for the opportunity to support this meaningful programme, and rejoice the organiser’s efforts.

Seeing the younger generation gathered gently reminds us of the Buddha’s teaching:

Uṭṭhānavato satīmato,
sucikammassa nisammakārino;
saññatassa ca dhammajīvino,
appamattassa yasobhivaḍḍhati.
— Dhammapada 280

Explaination (English)

The Buddha teaches that one who is diligent, mindful, careful in action, restrained, and living according to the Dhamma will naturally grow in wholesome qualities. When youthful energy is guided by mindfulness and right conduct, it becomes a strong foundation for wisdom, compassion, and a meaningful life.

今晨约清晨六时，我们心喜迎接学生们参与 D2Y（Dhammaduta Youth）— Temple Run 活动，本寺仅作为开幕仪式的场地之一。

法喜能参与护持这项有意义的活动，也随喜活动青年的付出与执行。

看见年轻一代的身影，不禁忆起佛陀的教导：

Uṭṭhānavato satīmato,
sucikammassa nisammakārino;
saññatassa ca dhammajīvino,
appamattassa yasobhivaḍḍhati.

偈文释义（华语）

佛陀开示：精进勤奋、具足正念、行事清净谨慎、懂得自我调御并依正法而生活的人，其善法与内在德行将自然增长。若能以正念与善行引导青年的活力，便能成为培育智慧、慈悲与正道生活的稳固基础。
