In conjunction with the 101st birthday celebration of Chief Reverend G. Jinarathana Maha Thera—who has dedicated 85 years to the monastic life—the Maha Karuna Buddhist Society, under the guidance of Chief Reverend Bootawatte Sri Saranankara Nayaka Maha Thera, was honored to initiate and sponsor a meaningful charitable initiative.

As part of this auspicious occasion, 150 sets of school bags and stationery were distributed to children in the village, ensuring they have the necessary tools for their education. This act of giving reflects the spirit of Dāna (generosity) and embodies the values of compassion and kindness that Chief Reverend Jinarathana Maha Thera has upheld throughout his life.

The warm celebration was held at Sudharmarama Royal Temple, Udabowala, Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, and included a Blessing Service, Gilanpasa Puja Offering, Food Dana, Dry Food Dana and EDUCare.

【马来西亚宏慈佛教會】 2025年3月21日 | 祈福仪式、吉兰巴萨普扎供养、食物布施与社区教育活动 – 庆祝尊者吉纳拉塔那大长老101岁华诞

值此尊敬的 G. Jinarathana 大长老101岁寿辰之际，宏慈佛教会（Maha Karuna Buddhist Society）在宗教导师尊者斯里沙拉南加拉长老的指导下，法喜地发起并赞助了一项充满意义的慈善活动。

为纪念这一吉祥的日子，我们向村里的孩子们捐赠了150套书包和文具，护持学子们顺利学习。这一善举体现布施（Dāna）的精神，也彰显了Jinarathana 大长老一生秉持的慈悲与善行。

庆祝活动在斯里兰卡佩拉德尼亚乌达博瓦拉 Sudharmarama Royal Temple举行，法会内容包括祈福仪式、日夜供奉、食物供养、以及干粮供养和關懷教育活動。
