Rejoice with the meritorious deed of Buddhist friends in the annual cow liberation program held recently๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

A total of 90 cows had been liberated and handovered to 90 farmers relatively:-
i) 18 Cows on 24 February 2024, at SSP Office Anuradhapura, coordinated by Rev. M. Palitha Thero.
ii) 72 cows on 27 February 2024, at Karampethara Sri Abhayarajarama Viharaya, Matugama, coordinated by Rev. N. Samithavansha Thero.

Most Venerable Bootawattee Sri Saranankara Nayaka Maha Thera (Founder of Maha Karuna Buddhist Society Malaysia | Abbot of Sri Lanka Buddhist Temple, Kuala Lumpur | Religious Advisor of Young Buddhist Association Malaysia | Religious Advisor of Theravada Buddhist Council Malaysia | Chief Justice of Theravada Sangha Malaysia – Chief Adhikarana Sangha Nayaka Malaysia ) together with members of Maha Sangha had conducted merit dedication at both venue in Sri Lanka, in the February 2024.
The Maha Karuna Buddhist Society Malaysia (KL & Selangor) expresses gratitude to Most Venerable Bootawatte Sri Saranankara Nayaka Maha Thera, the Chief Justice of Malaysia Theravada Sangha, for his wisdom and compassionate guidance to facilitate this charitible programme.
The Buddhist society also expresses gratitude to the Sangha members and lay devotees for their dedicated support and coordination work in Sri Lanka.
Special thanks to the volunteer coordinators for Sis Lee Ling and Yee Shin for their dedicated efforts. Despite being busy during the Chinese Lunar New Year, they tirelessly assisted in coordinating the event, issuing receipts, arranging the offering and merit dedication lists, coordinating and handling all matters related to the event. This also includes the preparation of reports and event video production.
We treasure the understanding and patience of the well wishers who participated in the annual cow liberation programme.
May the merits accummulated be dedicated to the world peace. May the teaching of the Buddha continue to endure through ages, resonating with countless generations. May Sangha Community be in harmonious and good health. May the farmers have sustainable blessings and livelihood. May the volunteers and well wishers receive abundant blessings and conditions for attaining enlightenment.
May suffering ones be suffering free, the fear-struck fearless be; May grieving ones shed all grief, may all beings find peace and relief.
