【结夏安居】𝗩𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁

Vassa “结夏安居” Rain Retreat
Vassa is a Pāḷi word. In English, Vassa is often glossed as Rains Retreat, the three-month rainy season retreat for the Buddhist.
Vassa是巴利语，英语称为雨季的撤退，汉语称为“雨安居”，即是为期三个月的“结夏安居”。
According to the TheraVāda tradition, the Vassa originated with the Buddha himself. Gautama Buddha ordered his disciples to stop travel for a three months period during the rainy season, in order to avoid damage to plants and insects growing in the rainy season.
依据上座部佛教传统，雨安居起源于佛陀时代。佛陀建议他的弟子们在雨季的三个月当中，停止外出行脚云游，以避免伤害雨季中生长的植物与昆虫。
Vassa begins on the full moon of the seventh month, it ends on the full moon of the tenth month. For the duration of Vassa, Sangha Members remain inside monasteries and temple grounds. The monks dedicate the Vassa to intensive meditation. Some Buddhist lay people choose to observe Vassa by adopting more ascetic practices, such as abstain from taking food after the noon, alcohol, or smoking.
雨安居开始于七月的月圆日，结束于十月的月圆日。在雨安居期间，僧团停留在寺院静修，或钻研三藏或禅修求证。在雨安居期间，一些在家信众同样也选择到寺院受持布萨8戒，过午不食、不饮酒和吸烟以及密集禅修闻法。
This year, Maha Karuna Buddhist Society is blessed to invite 3 Sangha Members, Venerable B. Siriwimala, Venerable Phonesai and Venerable San to stay at Maha Karuna Buddhist Society during this vassa period.
今年，宏慈佛教会有幸邀请3位僧侣，尊者斯里维玛拉，尊者福赛，尊者善在这个雨安居季节安居于宏慈佛教会。
Three venerable Sangha Members accepted the invitation to observe Vassa at Maha Karuna Buddhist Centre during the three months period (14.7.2022 – 10.10.2022). 三位尊者欣然接受邀请于宏慈佛教会进行雨安居。
